Police Report to Insurer

I was coming from Agra to Delhi with a moderate speed.Suddenly a motorcyclist,from opposite direction collided with my car near Hodal & got seriously injured.My vehicle was damaged.The motorcyclist was rushed to Hospital.Local police made report ( Detail,I do not know),Should I tell about police report to my insurer?
